iOS Developer and Game Developer
Hello everyone! Welcome to my humble site. I am a passionate Software Devleoper who has always had an interest in coding. I enjoy working with many different languages and learning about new and exciting technologies. I do however have a peticular interest in iOS Development. But before I knew this, it took a lot of other work to realize what I truly wanted to do.
I got my first taste of programming by landing a few clients creating websites and maintaining/updating older code. This was in hindsight invaluable to my career as I not only learned an incredible amount by coming into a code base to fix an issue. I was also integrating my own fixes and customizations. This led to an internship which was a fairly standard position with data entry/calculations and learning business systems. I took it upon my self to script parts of my job using python to retrieve the documents and to make the necessary data operations much faster.
Eventually there was an opening for a entrly level position in the development department under the emerging iOS team. It was here that I began to learn how to use XCode and Swift and develop applications. I now work everyday developing iOS applications and I do not plan on stopping. I also have other software interests such as video game development and raspberry pi's. I currently have an interest to daisy chain multiple raspberry pi's into one miniature home server.
In my spare time I often find my self playing video games, playing guitar, spending time with my wife and kids. I also am a bit of a traveller, before the pandemic my wife and I would take annual trips and I have certainly missed that. There are so many more places I want to go to still.
